This weekend, Saturday (hopefully) going to KL Convention Centre for PIKOM PC Fair (II). Also going to checkout Machines new store at Suria KLCC. So if anyone want to hang out? Give me a call.
That’s the problem when you bought lots of new gadget (other than MacBook and Sony Ericsson K810i) in the same month. Moral of the month, don’t buy anything that have or related to the word Game when you’re on tight schedules or deadlines in that particular month. Lesson learned.
I thought I give some quick updates on what happen on the 12th of June, the date when I bought my MacBook. Supposedly, I should write about this earlier but I was not feeling to well. So here I am blogging from my brand new spanking black MacBook.
Oh, you should be jealous by now right?
We snapped few photos during my purchase but only few can make it to my MacBook flickr set. Yes, we. We both skip work early that day and arrived around 4:30 PM at Machines MidValley, Kuala Lumpur. Since I’ve already know what to buy — the details and price, so I just went ahead and told the staff what I need. David, the staff that serve me was very friendly and I personally asked him to give a short and brief training on how to use the MacBook. We both hang out there for about 30 minutes.
What did I buy?
I followed few expert advice. For time being only bought the black MacBook along with the wireless Mighty Mouse (got to love the nipple). Since the month of June is demo days, I got free 1GB Machines thumbdrive which IMHO is a very useless freebies. I’ve also received a year free Machines membership card which entitled me for a discount depending on the item.
Total damage done is $5973 MYR.
I’ll continue purchasing the keyboard and the new monitor after I’ve got the new table which is currently out of stock at IKEA. As for the ACPP, I’ve decided to purchase it when the 1 year warranty is nearing to expired and invest the leftover balance for softwares or extra accessories. Did you know that Apple product is incredibly expensive?
What’s next?
I’ll wrote something about how I planned my purchase and why I decide to choose that particular store instead of another.
Now, I’m officially a lot cooler than before. Any questions?
The title really sounds Web 2.0 does it? Finally my prediction are true, Chan Kee Siak (ksstudio) has announced himself as the new owner of Bincang.Net. Chan is also the owner of Exabytes and Webmaster Malaysia.
There was some sort of guessing game yesterday among my Twitter friends and sadly, everyone was wrong. Actually, I bought myself a Sony Ericsson K810i. Oh my, how can you resist the metallic round keypad.
As you can see, the plastic wrap is still there and I haven’t take it off. Not planning to remove the plastic wrap because I think it would be funny in some way. I chat with my sister this morning and she was laughing about it.
Of course, next would be the black MacBook. So stay tune!
By default, the PHP display_errors setting is set on. You can read more about display_errors at PHP: Error Handling and Logging Functions. There are few important things that you should know about the error messages that is sent to the browser by display_errors.
Usually these error messages contains sensitive information about the web application environment that you are running and could lead to unwanted security threat. It is even stated in the manual that it is not recommended to enable this feature on a production site.
To disable or switch it off (assuming that you’re on a shared hosting which have limited super power), simply add php_flag display_errors off in your .htaccess file.
Just a short update on my “Help me buy a MacBook” report for week 3. You won’t be hearing anymore of this until I purchase the MacBook that I promised to buy.
Finally, all donation funds for my MacBook have completed and successfully transferred to my local bank account. Im quite happy to say that I can make the purchase anytime.
I went to IKEA yesterday planning to buy a bigger computer desk. But the desk that I really like ran out of stock (forgot the desk model name). The new stock will be arriving soon somewhere in the middle of month June. And why a new desk you might ask? Well, my current workspace desk at home is considered to be medium size. I need bigger space to put more stuff. Yes, bigger!
Anyhoo, I found out that there’s a “Why U’ll love a mac” Demo Days (workshop) this 10th of June at Machines Mid Valley Megamall. I’m planning to go, who want to follow?
