2 days ago, I spend about less than 5 minutes importing a 5 year old phpBB powered forum database to bbPress. Everything went well except I made a decision only to import user table. Use phpBB to bbPress importer by Bruno Torres if you want to migrate yours.
UPDATE: phpbb2bbpress is much better.
