Accessing Yahoo! Music with Firefox, Part 3

Seriously, I have no guarantee that this method will work directly.

IE Tab, an extension from Taiwan, features Embedding Internet Explorer in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox.

This extension is derived from the famous extension IE View, but they are quite different. While IE View always open IE-only pages in newly launched windows of Internet Explorer, IE Tab can open them in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox.

It is clearly stated that the extension is embedding Internet Explorer into Mozilla/Firefox tab. So it’s like opening Internet Explorer but in Mozilla/Firefox tab. Unfortunately, IE Tab only works with a machine that has Internet Explorer installed. Not sure whether IE Tab will work if I install Internet Explorer using Wine or Crossover Office on my Gentoo Linux.

Tested perfectly on Windows XP, I’m taking advantage of this extension to view Music videos from Yahoo! Music.

Download IE Tab and then install the extension.
Restart your Firefox browser so that the changes could take effect.
Go to Tools>Extensions, right click on IE Tab and choose Options.
On the IE Tab Options window, select IE Tab Site Filter and add http://music.yahoo.com and http://launchtoday.launch.yahoo.com so that each time you visit both of the site it will automatically open in IE Tab.
Press OK to save the current setting.
Go to Yahoo! Music and make sure it is viewed using IE Tab. To make sure, an IE icon will appear as favicon on the address bar.
Don’t forget to Sign In before browsing Yahoo! Music website.

If you see “ERROR We are experiencing technical difficulties right now, please try again later” just try another video link. Sometimes Yahoo! Music ran into a problem loading the selected video cause by IE Tab. If you successfully open the Yahoo! Music Videos Player, don’t close the window. Use it to browse other videos. Good luck!
