Well, if someone would like to manage an event for this, I’d like to advice that the meetup should be held some place where people don’t feel hesitate to be… Starbuck is not a good place…

maybe you could have the WordPress meetup as part of the Malaysian Open Source Group meetings, you could use it as a stepping stone to launch the WordPress group?

We haven’t had any meeting this month though we are planning to have one. you could get in touch with the organiser Aizat (www.aizatto.com) and also check out http://www.foss.org.my for more information.

btw, I’m a wordpress user too . I have one version on the .com site and one hosted on my own acct
